Food Safety — Leading with Technology, Research and Education Perdue Farms leads the industry in food safety technology, research and education. We were the first in the industry with an in-house microbiology lab to test products for food safety. Today, we lead the industry with the most up-to-date laboratory equipment and highly trained scientific experts, including PhDs and board-certified veterinarians. Food Safety Teams at each of our locations share information and research across all areas—from hatchery to processing—and across the company. This team approach helps us continually improve our food safety procedures. Perdue has its own Food Safety Advisory Council, which includes both in-house and outside experts.
