The History of Chicken
The modern domesticated broiler has descended from the wild Bankiva chicken, which was domesticated in India more than 4,000 years ago.
The early settlers to America brought chickens with them. Today's broiler comes from breeding stock that is the product of years of genetic selection by top poultry scientists.
